Hi Guys,

Imagine how awesome it would be, if we can 'time' ADD a gallery in our management login mode, that can be released for 'viewing' to anon surfers and registered users - via day/month/year/hour we specify during admin login session? Know what I mean? Like.. go on vacation for 2 weeks & while away, our surfers get new content. What do you think? =)

can be done with a cron job accessing the mysql db, it would need to be done outside of cpg though.  you would need to pics uploaded and have thumbnails ready too (or at least have pics there and let cron make thumbs when db is updated).

however, i dont share your enthusiasm for this request...shouldnt be too hard to upload pics to an area that needs approval and then approve of them when your ready for it to get published to your users.

only very few people who are webhosted have access to cron jobs, so this is not the way to go. The pics could already be there and the approval flag could be set to "yes" based on some date/time combinations. The event that triggers that auto-approval could be hits on the site (usage of coppermine), but this would require vast changes. There are simply more important tasks on my to-do list that I want to implement first with coppermine, so this feature goes down into the "feature request" board as "nice to have" and will probably remain there for a long time, unless you (or someone who desperately needs this feature) will come along and code it as add-on/mod. Sorry...
