The best way too...??

IS there a way to put a watermark on the pictures IF a user downloads the pic ? after the the user dl´s the pic the watermark shows on his/hers "copy" ?

if not is there a hack for servers with GD installed to watermark pics ??

no: if the pic displays on the user's browser, it's already on his machine. When he right-clicks - save picture as... he simply saves the pic that is already stored in the browser cache on his machine to some other place on his machine.
