While it's possible to alter the rating indicators on the image view page using $template_image_rating, it's much more difficult to change them on the "Top rated" page.

I discovered this after I changed the stars to text (*, **, ***, etc) on the thumbnail page, but the original rating images still show on the "Top rated" page. This is bad because my site uses a dark background, and they don't look very good.

It would be nice to have a simple way to customize these images globally. And if there already is and I've missed it, please let me know and I'll thank you and hang my head in shame. :-)
