I think most serious administrators of CPG galleries who require subscription will need that feature. It enables to resend activation email in case of failure of the mail server (either on web site or subscriber side ....). I have hotmail, gmail and yahoo accounts and I have lost almost 10% of my mails ....

Please note that this feature is enabled on most PHP good scripts like SMF (see link below)
