Rating problem

As of now it appears as though rating the pictures isn't doing anything....you click on the stars and it acts like it rates them but then the pictures still say "not yet rated"....anybody else had this problem?

EDIT: I also just noticed that no "views" of the pictures are getting counted either.

  • browser caching: the status of the pages might be cached in your browser
  • option "Minimum number of votes for a picture to appear in the 'top-rated' list" in coppermine config: if you set the rating to appear only after a minimum of more than "1" voting once won't show the pic as rated - even as admin you can only vote once for a pic, so clicking on the rating buttons for a second time won't help...
  • make sure the group is allowed to rate a pic at all (in "groups" set "Can rate pictures" to "yes"[/list:o]GauGau

Well....I cleared the cache and it's still not showing that any of the pictures have been voted on. It also is showing that the pictures have had no "views" which is incorrect. And all the groups are set to be allowed to rate the pictures.

Rate Photos or Comment on Photos

Well I don't give up so easily but I am having difficulty with being able to rate photos or comment on photos.  Maybe I'm a n00b or something but I just can't find it.

In the Groups section everyone except "banned" users are allowed to rate photos so when I logon as either an administrator or a regular user I can't find any way to rate photos or to comment on photos.

Same with commenting on photos, everyone except "banned" and "anonymous" are allowed to comment on photos but I can't.

Where have I lost it (other than being a n00b)?

Just a shot in the dark.  Check your album properties.  They are set by default to allow comments and rating, but maybe they've changed for some reason.

Thanks but unfortunately they are all set to allow visitors to rate and comment on the albums.
