Still having login issues
« on: February 21, 2006, 05:26:30 pm »

I installed Coppermine 1.4.2 using Fantastico and was able to set it up fine. I was able to log in without any problems. Now, for some reason, I can't login. I guess I should say that it lets me log in and shows the I successfully logged in. But when it goes back to the form index, it shows that i did't log in. I know that I've seen posts on this before but didn't really see the answer to the problem. I hope I didn't repost to a solved issue, but I couldn't find the answer. Thanks.

as a first step (may or may not cure your issue) upgrade to the most recent stable release cpg1.4.3 (and don't use Fantastico in the future, it is buggy). If this doesn't solve your issues, post again, preferably with a non-admin test user account.

O.K., installed new version. Seems O.K. but I had one minor problem during the ftp transfer of files to my server. The file "du.store" or something like that (not sure the ending) was not able to transfer. I was going to manually upload it to the server but I can't find that paticular file or anything like it in the file I downloaded for installation. Is this a required file?

It is not required.
