I would like to have the users name appear on their profile, if I set this up for registration, is it as simple as changing the optional fields?

Is there any way to make that a required field?  Or is it only for the optional fields?

I don't understand, rephrase your question, using more words and maybe some screenshots as examples.

Sorry

When a user registers, the only information that shows up on his/her profile is the user ID and date added, etc.  My client would like me to add in an option for the person's actual name, like Mike Smith

Username  MikeSmith02
Joined  Feb 12, 2006
Files uploaded  1
Name Mike Smith

Does that make sense?  She just wants to be able to know who's who on her gallery, because some people use usernames like JazzyDude or something like that, she wants to be able to recognize who's posting pics to her gallery.

Let me know if that is clearer.

OK, now I understand - you want to make some fileds mandatory. The easiest method is to use some JavaScript that checks the form before it actually gets sent, similar to the mod How can I force a title to be entered when uploading?

Cool, thank you.

And if they are just going to be optional, I can change the name of the Optional field right?  So instead of Occupation I could change that to Name?

That way they can answer it if they want.

I changed one of the Optional User Profile fields to read "Name" instead of Interests

However it doesn't show up on the Profile page.  How to I make these viewable by other users, or in the very least an Admin?

you need to go back into that profile and fill in the fields. That worked for me. if there is no values in those fields, they dont show up.

I did do that, for two different users, but nothing shows up.  I am sure this is my stupid error, but it's driving me nuts!

If you want to log in, go for it

User ID: testtest

Pword test1

Let me know what I am doing wrong, I cannot view anything other than the user ID and date registered.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but is it as simple as just overwriting the files?

Sorry, guess I could have looked at the docs first!

Okay, everything went fine, on version check it lists anycontent.php as a red file and being part of 1.4.2, is that okay?

I also didn't copy/overwrte the waterdrop theme since that was heavily modified.  That doesn't seem to make any differnce, my theme is working swimingly (water theme, get it?)
