Category Descriptions with HTML not BBCode

Hello, I would like to left-align an image in the category description, and put some padding between the description image and the description text.

For this I need to use HTML and the style tag, not BBCode.

QUESTION: Is there a way to change index.php so that I can also use HTML in the desciption?
