Directory permissions/hidden directories
« on: February 08, 2006, 12:22:57 am »

Hi, maybe I looking at the problem from the wrong angle, If I have setup private albums, which would be only viewable by registered users of a certain group, which works fine.

But I have noticed that you can still get around the privacy issue by just listing the directory, eg http://example.org/albums/Family views all the images that are meant to be private, is there a way around this, I tried chmoding the directories, but that just broke the links to the images.

Is this something I could handle within the .htaccess file.

Thanks for looking at my problem.

Disable index listing either in cpanel or add the code in .htaccess. It's like one line.
