Moving Sub Category
« on: January 30, 2006, 02:59:05 pm »

Hi,

I'm looking for some help on categorys and sub categorys.  I have created a sub category with a category obviously but it has appeared as the last entry in the album.  Is the anywhere of changing the order of the album so that I can move the sub category up and down with the album?

Any help would be great.

Thanks,

Alan.

When I go into Album manager it only list's the albums within that caterogy and not the sub category.

Take a look - www.alancrookes.com/gallery/

I want to move the sub category "Australia Trip Dec 05/Jan 06" to the top above the album titled "Achill - August 2005 (Colin's Photos)"

Thanks,

Alan.

you have a very outdated version of coppermine (cpg1.3.1) - you should upgrade at least to cpg1.3.5.
Anyway, moving categories around is being done using the category manager (surprisingly), not the albums manager as I suggested: http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg13x/docs/index.htm#cat_cp
To move albums around into other categories, you click on "album properties" next to the thumbnail that represents the album. To change the order of albums within a category, you use the albums manager as suggested in http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg13x/docs/index.htm#albmgr_order
