Hot or Not Feature
« on: October 05, 2003, 03:20:32 am »

Anybody knows this "Hot or Not" contests on certain photos sites?

There you can give a hot or not rating for pictures. This feature is mainly used for so called beauty contests on party sites.

Would be nice to implement such a function in coppermine, I know that we already have this great rating system. But it would be nice to for example show something like the hottie of the day    on the front page.

I don't think that this feature is very importent, so take this just a an idea

moulari,

I think a standlalone little script to pull this info using the current ratings systems would work just fine.  I do not really think this is useful as a built-in feature.  A little script to do what you ask, should be quite easy to code.  Hell...I may even have enough coding knowledge to attempt this....but I am so busy lately....I make absolutely no promises.  If you are a newbie coder, take a look at the ratings functions, and you should be able to hack this ability rather easily.
