Hi!
Registered users cant see the user mode link, they are all the time in amdmin mode. When I am "admin" i can switch betwen admin nad user mode with out porblems, becuse i can see links to do this.
I have this problem in "blackbirch" theme.

expected behaviour. There's no need for users to switch mode. All the "user mode" button does for the admin is to remove the admin controls from sight temporarily to show the admin how the gallery will look for regular users. It's usefull when designing/modifying a custom theme, that's all.
There's nothing to worry about, you probably just got confused because the user mode link has been available for users as well in cpg1.3.x. We removed it in cpg1.4.x, because it's not needed, as it does nothing particularly helpfull for regular users except confusing them. Apparently, it confused some coppermine admins like you as well.
This is not theme-related, it happens in all coppermine themes, as the feature has been removed from coppermine's core code.
