scripting my own web publishing wizard
« on: January 20, 2006, 01:49:45 pm »

I have Coppermine 1.4.3 working just fine, and the XP Web Publishing Wizard works just fine too.

However the WPW is directories based.  It opens in a directory, and will only upload images from that directory in a single run.

I use an image database program called Imatch, which allows me to run sophisticated queries.  I'd like to upload images from one of these queries, which will generally be in different directories, using the WPW.

From reading http://www.zonageek.com/articulos/web/programming_microsofts_publishing_wizards/index.php, it seems like it should be possible to write my own version of the WPW.  Imatch has a powerful scripting language which would enable me to construct such a wizard on the fly from a selection of images.

Except that the instructions on the above URL about how to construct my own WPW are a bit beyond my modest scripting capabilities.  Has anyone tried something like this?
