Bridging with phpBB2 and my website..
« on: January 18, 2006, 03:06:48 pm »

Hi guys! I have a problem: on my website i have Coppermine 1.4.3 installed and phpBB2 2.0.19. I made the portal with my own hands... the website opened about one years ago but only today i find the "integration" option between Coppermine and phpBB. I try to do that (following the documentation) but i have a problem... when bridging is done, all the owner of the albums in the gallery are changed with the username of the people on the forum:

for example: if i'm 5th user registrated into the forum and i was the 7th in the gallery, my album, with bridging, become the 5th...

Is there a solution?

My second question is how can i put 5 thumbnails linked to the gallery on my own home page... is there a script or something else?

Thanks!

p.s sorry for my english, but i'm italian and i don't know it so much  ;D

Hi, I don't think there is a solution all users will be replaced with those in your phpbb so the cpg user accounts arn't needed.

For your second question you can try to use the CPG Fetch function here: http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?board=57.0

try this if you mean

$ChangeThisToYourPartialUrlToCPG = "../gallery";

P.S. Try to find an answer for your problem in the "CPM Fetch" topics.

do as suggested and look for support on the cpmfetch sub-board.

Regarding your bridging question, let me quote the docs:

Warning: If you already have users and custom groups in your coppermine database when you enable bbs integration, be aware that they will be lost. If your coppermine users have already created private albums and uploaded pics to them, they will be lost as well!
