Changing Album Links
« on: January 17, 2006, 07:27:50 am »

I have searched for this issue and people have touched on it but it doesn't seem to answer my question.
I have a "Phone Pictures" album which has some pictures in it but now all my phone pictures are on a Text America account since I can send them straight from my phone to the site its easier. So I want to take the "Phone Pictures" album link and redirect it to my Text America url. I know I can do the bbcode url in the description below it but I would like to have that link changed if it’s possible.
I have other albums there not just phone pictures which is why it would be nice to change that link so at least people can see those pictures as well.
Thanks
-Scott

I think you would need to use .htaccess to do a 301 redirect of the album URL to the one you want it to go to.

I tried doing this with the redirect function in cpanel but the album link ends in index.php?cat=18 so it when I put it in it redirected only index.php which is the main site.

Isen't there some easy way to go into the sql database and change the 1 album link?

Could you post the content of your .htaccess file pertaining to the redirect?

I think minicms will do the trick! Thank you.

edit: I tried putting this java script code into the minicms page. I clicked source put the java script in and for some reason its not displaying.

Code: [Select]
<script language='javascript' type='text/javascript' src='http://scotty588.textamerica.com/flasher.aspx?refresh=497983'></script>
