Mac_ox_x - IE - Conflicts
« on: January 09, 2006, 09:38:05 pm »

Hi there,
I found some errors within the mac_ox_x theme when viewed with the Internet Explorer. (not only my modified theme, coppermine demo too)

- blank space between table-backgrounds (title) and the border (side or bottom)
- deformed comments input-field
- the rating- and comments-tables (displayimage) are not defined as standard table, they ara some px wider than the other tables because the border-shadow is missing. (not only IE)

Will these bugs be fixed in a futer release? Or, can someone tell me how to fix them?

Thx for any help.

Sasse

PS: Sorry, if these problems have been reported already. I used the search but didn't find anything.

not sure what you mean. Do you claim they don't validate?

As I said, it's not a problem of my modified version.
The same bugs appear when I view the Coppermine-Demo with IE!

those are not bugs, but browser differences. I have gone through this discussion various times before, I won't repeat it. Ask the creators of browsers to make their browsers respect standards.

Okay, i see. So there is no possibility to make it look good in both IE and FF, with an appropriate effort.

But what about the third thing I mentioned. The rating- and comments-tables without bordershadow is not related to a browser difference. The table is wider in both IE and FF. How can I apply the shadow to these two tables to make them as wide as the others? Apparently it must be some sort of style.
