Something missing in the dokumentation?
« on: December 23, 2003, 12:40:22 pm »

I have looked at the dokumentation again today when it "hit" me: is there really nothing written on how to upload pictures?

I cannot se there is! (Well, I found some hints hidden under the chapter 'Pictures and thumbnails advanced settings')

For me it is obvious it should be a separte chapter in the documentation dealing with the different ways of putting pictures into the gallery.  -User upload. -Recomended ways of making folders/using FTP/edit pictures for administrators. -When to use XP-publish and what it does behind the scenes and why. (Making A LOT of folders by itself). -Is it ok to have A LOT of folders? Is it possible in any way to touch files inside the album folder without messing things up -and so on.

Perhaps answers to these questions are obvious to most people putting this script to work on their sites, but it is not to me. I feel some words on these matters in the dokumentation really would make Coppermine even more attractive for webmaster novices like myself.
