Admin / User Mode Toggle Question
« on: December 31, 2005, 11:04:58 pm »

Howdy - I am new to Coppermine and I simply love this product!

Question regarding toggling from Admin to User Mode.

I was putting together some screen shots for a tutorial for my users and noticed I don't have the same display in use moder as my users. Users have their own Admin Buttons, whereas I as administrator do not in User Mode so consequently it blew my screen shots. Anyway is there a particular reason this is so? I did create a user so I could make screen caps as a user - but it does seem logical that switiching from Admin Mode to User Mode should give me a typical "users" view.

Thanks,
Mudd

Regular users are always in "admin" mode in that they can create/modify albums. There used to be user mode (no admin buttons) for users but that got confusing. So that's why admin user mode is really user mode with no admin buttons and users don't have user mode.
