Administrator "member pictures"

Coppermine: 1.4.3 (upgrade from 1.3.5)
***********************************

Right I have just upgraded from 1.3.5 to 1.4.3 which went well..

Ive never tried to upload my own pictures to my own gallery before - however today i wanted to try it.

I have tested the "registered" user group and they are able to upload images fine and i can auth them and they appear in the user pictures area.

However, when I (as Administrator) try to upload my own images, it will say i dont have any user writable folders which I can upload to.  Another thing I have noticed is when I got from Admin Mode to User mode, all of my image control buttons disapear.  My text ones are still there (Home :: My gallery :: Admin mode :: Upload file :: Logout...) but the ones that appear under that when in admin mode completly disapear.

I have ensured that the Admin user group *DOES* have own gallery folder rights, and this does happen in the deult classic skin

Any ideas?

thanks

You have to create an album, just like all regular users do.  If you switch to user mode, you lose all admin abilities.  That's why you shouldn't ever switch to user mode.

Both "Public albums upload" and "Personal gallery" are set to Allowed in the groups page for the administrator?

Actually, I do believe that this isn't even an option for administrators.  There is no such thing as "user mode" or a "personal gallery" for administrators.  Nibbler posted a reply to a similar topic recently.

Why should the admin have a user gallery when the whole gallery site is his "playground"? The idea is that the admin creates public categories and albums and displays his content there.

becuase maybe i want to add my own pictures to the members gallery instead of having to create a new specific area since im not able to add folders or upload pictures *AT ALL* to the members pictures area...
