cpg1.4.2 watermark?
« on: December 29, 2005, 05:05:56 am »

Has anyone figured out how to watermark images in cpg1.4.2 yet.  Have spent hours searching the forum and trying out suggestions with no luck.  I had watermarking working great in cpg1.2.  Almost sorry I upgraded now, but I like the new features in cpg1.4.2.  I make a living selling photos from my website.  Not too easy when they can print their own photos without a watermark.  I don't want to watermark images before uploading because the thumnails would also have the watermark, and I also have 10,000 plus unwatermarked images already on my site. I have managed to disable right-clicking and saving images.  This will stop only the novices!   Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks, but I tried the CpgMark plugin and it did not work for me.  Maybe better documentation would have helped.  It created a folder /watermarks/1 that I could not upload to, change permissions, or delete.  I had to rename the folders (still can't delete them) and recreate the folders with the correct permissions to upload my watermark to.  Cpgmark found the watermark image but did not apply them to my photos.  Also didn't like the fact that users could turn it off using the menu "CpgMark" if I understood correctly.

You should post issues at cpg-contrib so the plugin author will be aware of them.
