Registered User Permissions
« on: December 21, 2005, 07:10:51 am »

No matter what I do with Registered users I cannot allow them to post comments, vote or send Ecards.  I can change the permissions and nothing happens, when I change the permissions with guests it works for them, but nothing I do will let the registered users post comments and such.

click on the "album properties" button next to the thumbnail that represents an individual album and you'll notice that there are additional switches. The switches in groups manager are general switches that turn the option on/off globally. When turned on globally, you have to enable rating individually per album.

That was already set.  Like I said the Admins and Guests can do it  but registered users can't.  I have no problem with any other group disallowing/allowing people to rate and comment, only my registered users.  If it matters it is integrated with PHPBB.

post a link and non-admin test user account then. Make sure you have the most recent bridge files from the stable branch of the cvs. Post a screenshot of your groups panel as well, I suspect that you have other groups that interfere with the "registered" users group.

http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/coppermine/stable/bridge/

You can just replace them. Download udb_base.inc.php and the phpbb bridge file correspoding to the version of phpbb you are using.

Okay so I replaced the phpbb2.0.18.inc.php and the udb file but then when I clicked on login it went blank so I logged in through my forum and went to bridge manager and it said bridge emergency recovery enter your login and password and I did and now it said that it was unbridged and I can't login to my Coppermine Gallery

In the usergroups the Admin is 102 and the main account was just set to 1 so I changed it to 102 and I could login and get different options, but not the options I was looking for.  So I changed it back to 1 and now when I try and login and hit continue I go to a page that says you are not logged in.

Okay so I got everything working with the database changed the 102 in usergroups to 1 and can login normally as the admin.  but if I enable the bridging it won't let me login anymore and if I hit login I go to a blank page with just my menu on it nothing more.  I have up[dated my phpbb1.0.18 bridge file and that other one you guys suggested.  Any other ideas?
