batch upload question
« on: December 08, 2005, 09:06:16 pm »

I'm using the latest version of coppermine, I am in process of batch adding lots of pictures from my old gallery. Can I batch add to other peoples folders?
Also when Ive added the pics can I delete the folder I created to add the files?

why don't you just update your old gallery as suggested in the docs?

I kept having log in issues with the old gallery asit was linked to phpbb2, I have set this one up as a standalone so now I can keep the 2 seperate log ins and database's which makes life easier. My phpbb is hacked and from what I could tell its one of the hacks that caused the problems.
Ive now got the new coppermine fully online with the galleries reinstated but would like to delete the batch files if possible to reduce server space usage.

You can't delete the originals.  If you want to save space, resize them to reduce the file size prior to uploading.  You can also check out the admin tools - there's an option to replace the original with the resized image.  You should also read the documentation.
