Adding semi transparant gif on thumbs
« on: December 07, 2005, 10:55:24 pm »

Hi,

I would like to add a semi transparent gif on the thumbs, not to hide the location of the thumbs, but to add a bit
more spark to them. Heres an example: http://www.threadless.com/catalog/Retired

Could someone tell me what file to edit, and how to achieve it ? They use javascript at this site, but i thought it would be possible
with a the css hover function...

The actual image in those pages is being shown as the background of a div, then javascript is using the hover events to swap out the transparent image.

you would have to modify the $template_thumbnail_view template in your theme, and add appropriate JS links to template.html and make the css changes.
