Hi Guys,

I have done a search but seen a real outcome unless you contact your server provider!

About 3 days ago it worked fine but now I get the error message "Unable to create thumbnail or reduced size image." when I try and do a batch upload

What could havecaused it to go like this? The CHMOD is fine so it isnt that and the hosts say they havent changed anything!

Is there anything else it could be?

No sense in creating a new thread for the exact same issue someone else is having.  Please reply to an identical thread the next time you have a similar issue.

I think the problem is with PHP 4.4.1.  There are known issues with image functions when 4.4.1 is running in safe mode.  See this comment at php.net:  http://us3.php.net/manual/en/function.imagejpeg.php#58392

Ask your host when they upgraded to 4.4.1.  Your debug output shows safe mode is enabled; confirm this with your host.

I have had a reply from the host

They said

There are 2 additions you can make to the code, to workaround this new 'feature'
of php.
You can either
touch() the file, before using the imagejpeg()
or, you can
fopen() the file before using imagejpeg()

How / Where would I go about doing this?
