Bridge with PHPBB 2.0.14, User List Crash
« on: November 29, 2005, 08:46:47 pm »

I have the following issue when trying to bridge coppermine and PHPBB 2.0.14:
When i have them bridged, i can't log into the test admin account created on the Gallery before Bridging, also if i try to view the user list or user Albums then it just comes up 'Critical error- There was an error while processing a database query'. This is getting to be a real pain and it's not like i got the up-to-date version of PHPBB....

Coppermine install: http://www.tesp.co.uk/Images/
Forum install: http://www.tesp.co.uk/esp/
Coppermine version: cpg1.4.2
Forum version: PHPBB 2.0.14
Test user account: BossGuy / boss

BridgeManager settings:
Forum URL:  http://www.tesp.co.uk/esp/
Relative path to your BBS's config file:  ../esp/
Use post-based groups?:  0 (i think)

When i have them bridged, i can't log into the test admin account created on the Gallery before Bridging

That's normal, see the docs - "Warning: If you already have users and custom groups in your coppermine database when you enable bbs integration, be aware that they will be lost."

if i try to view the user list or user Albums then it just comes up 'Critical error- There was an error while processing a database query'.

I will post a fixed file for that issue soon, hopefully tonight.

Okay, thanks.. i don't mind about not being able to log in to my Gallery only account since the whole thing is that the gallery shares the Forum database then the other way round but the User thing is a real pain.....

Ah ha! It Works! I replaced the old files with them and it works. Doesn't seam to be any problems either.. I'll Inform you if there is..

Thanks alot.. Nice reply time too... if this was a big software company (or even some other shareware things) it would have taken longer... good job on that too! ^_^
