cpg 1.4.2 and smf 1.1rc1 mod
« on: November 29, 2005, 10:04:37 am »

Hello, I'm new to the forum and just want to say thanks for the great software.  I know dev's have a thankless job sometimes.  anyway, here's my problem:  I got cpg and smf bridged and integrated, apparently, successfully, on my test forum, http://www.scuga.org.  I want to change the text menu items in cpg to buttons (Home, My Gallery, etc.).  The how-to's I found at smf say to edit the coppermine theme.php.  Well as you know, in the /themes/classic/theme.php file, there is nothing to edit.  So I guess my question would be, where do I make the needed changes to accomplish this task?  I know it's probably right in front of my face and I normally don't make a post unless I'm totally stumped, but...Thanks in advance.

don't use the classic theme then, use the sample theme that looks just the same. Make a copy of it, rename it and then start modifying it. Refer to the docs for details: http://coppermine-gallery.net/demo/cpg14x/docs/index.htm#creating
