That error means you have the path to imagemagick wrong. Discover the correct path or try using GD2.

Hi, I have a similar problem.
Had some trouble starting the uploading at all, but then things worked until I was to place the pictures in an album.
Then I get the error message: "The previous file could not be placed."
Here is the debug info:

Critical error
The file 'albums/userpics/10001/60seals~0.jpg' can't be inserted in the album

Error executing ImageMagick - Return value: 127

Cmd line :
/usr/bin/convert -quality 80 -antialias -geometry 100x75 'albums/userpics/10001/60seals~0.jpg' 'albums/userpics/10001/thumb_60seals~0.jpg'

The same reply then for you as for the other poster:

obviously not. The path probably is /usr/bin, as convert is the name of the executable. Do as suggested and use GD, really - it's easier.

ok - well I changed it to /usr/bin and I still get the same error - when I switch to GD version 2.x what else do I need to change?  do I have to install it?  do I need to change anything else?

btw - when I just change it to 2.x I get the following when trying to upload:

Code: [Select]
The file 'albums/userpics/10006/IMG_1873.JPG' can't be inserted in the album

sorry about double posting - didn't think it would get me shot

by saying it didn't work I'm saying that it gave me the exact same errors - if I posted them again I would be double posting

I'll contact PowWeb AGAIN and tell them what's going on AGAIN and see if they tell me something different this time..... :(
