Some Coppermine maintanance needed...

A while back I had a someone do work on my site, but he has gone off to the needs of others...
I am in need of some help after having the Beta vers. of the new Coppermine installed.
There seems to be something wrong with the log in.
Users are logging in, getting the 'Welcome' message, but not being logged in.
