Warning your browser does not accept script's cookies
« on: December 10, 2003, 07:04:01 pm »

I have a fresh install of RH 9.3 running PHP 4.2.2 and mySQL 3.23.

I created the database and ran the /install.php and everything was ok. I go to login and get the above error.

I have Coppermine installed on another system (older RH system) and it works fine.

Did you try turning on cookies in your browser?

Are you accessing these systems from a third, independent sytem, or are you accessing them using each server's browser?

Links are also nice.

I am browsing from my workstation.

Server A - Works fine. It is an older RH system.
Server B - Won't set cookie.

I was moving my websites over to the new system when I came upon this problem. I first copied my entire Coppermine install over, but it gave me that error. I then made a new directory and database and downloaded a fresh Coppermine tar.gz and did a complete fresh install. Same thing.

if you're using IE6, go to "tools" - "Internet options" - "Privacy" and modify your browser's settings accordingly...
Also make sure to delete all cookies stored locally on your browser (well, at least those set by coppermine).

possible answer if cookie settings in browser don't work!
« Reply #8 on: January 30, 2004, 06:54:57 pm »

Hi, all!
Had the same problem recently and the answer (after trying all of the cookie/privacy etc tricks was that my pc (on which the gallery is hosted) was showing the incorrect system time! Found the answer in the forums. It worked immediately on re-setting the date/time.
Hope this helps.

System time/date
« Reply #10 on: February 01, 2004, 12:07:57 pm »

Hi, Cezar!
The system time and date can be reset by double-clicking the time in the bottom right of the system tray (bottom of your screen, obviously). This should open up the clock/date tool. Simply set the date and time correctly, and hopefully your problem should be solved. It worked immediately for me and my test user.
