Am I missing something?
« on: October 28, 2005, 12:14:00 am »

Hi,

I've been to the docs but can't figure this out.

How do I allow registered users to create new albums in categories I created as an admin?

As it is now, when a user creates an album, it just gets tossed into "User Albums". I can't find any way for the user to specify what category they want their album in.

Thanks,
Mike

not at all.

Then what is the point of having a category if every users' album is just going to get tossed into some default area?  >:(

some people have public albums where they want their users to upload to. That's what I have in my gallery. I wouldn't want my users to create their own albums in "my" categories. Don't worry though, you don't have to use coppermine in the same way as others. In can see little point in your question though - a "why" is nearly always a bad question. Better ask "how" questions instead. Do so on the support board as suggested, after having read the docs and having searched the board.
