turn off the random/last uploads screens..turn off the filmstrips..
reduce the images size limits..
all these reduce the bandwidth used.

I only got pictures..
But i think that i have done something wrong because it seems like when a person enters the album he or she downloads all the pictures when entering thumbnails. If you understand.
How does rezice work?
What radioboxes should i mark out?
and i what order?+

Read http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=910.
