Hi GauGau,

I am currently developing a SMS/MMS portal for a client and would like to discuss some feature enhancements with you regarding the integration of this technology into CopperMine.

Please contact me offline if you are interested in taking this further.

Cheers,

erbuc

personally, I'm not interessted in paid customization of coppermine, as this is my spare time project, but maybe some other dev team member or board user is. It might help if you give some more information publicly by a posting.

First, let me say that I am not suggesting any such thing as "paid enhancements" to this project. I feel that this project is doing fine with out that sort of thing. What I am suggesting is this...

An addon module that allows the administrator to activate an SMS/MMS feature so that the user images can be sent to users for use on mobile phones and devices.

This may also require an addon module for payments (something like PayPal).

This addon would require users to input a mobile phone number, that can be validated with an SMS message. The message for validation, as well as for delivering content would need to be paid for by those running the web sites, but the code for integration into the SMS/MMS gateway is provided with an easy to implement PHP module that could easily be tailored for the Coppermine system.

If anyone has any interest in this, please let me know.

Cheers,

Hi,
if you do a search for mms, you will find 2 other threads asking for this feature, and a mod that works, in Germany only.  Perhaps you can adapt that to suit your needs.
