adding google-adds
« on: October 05, 2005, 10:47:34 pm »

Hi,
Hoe to add google-adds in the transition-theme??? I tried to figure out, but can't come a step further.
I want to add the adds into the index.php-file and at several others. How do I do that?? I looked around, how others did this in their index.php-files, but these differ alot from the ones of mine.
To start with: Where and in which file exactly do I have to add the google-add-code?? I want it to appear in every page just before the footer. Which files do I have to modify to accomplish this and where exactly? Help!

Thanks so much in advance.

Did you search for google ads?   I'm pretty sure this has been addressed and resolved a number of times.

I tried to copy the google-ads-code into different location inside the transmission-theme.php, as recommended, but nothing happens, even after refreshing...

What do I do wrong???

Did you try this one?  It's pretty recent.  http://forum.coppermine-gallery.net/index.php?topic=20491.msg93776#msg93776

Get it to work first before trying to put it into other locations.

Paste the google code into your theme's template.html file, somewhere near the end but before the </body>. Post a link to your site if it doesn't work.

Hi,
I finally managed! It was in the html-template indeed, but not at the end near the >/body> It was somewhere in the middle of the page.
If you would like to see the result, here comes the url: http://www.leylant.com/cpg134/index.php

Thanks anyway for your help and for this great product!

The line "Powered by Coppermine Photo Gallery" on your page is nearly not readible. Please make it stand out a bit more - undo your changes to the footer class.
