Removing files
« on: October 05, 2005, 03:18:33 pm »

I have another proble when i uload .exe or .zip and logout i cant change their permisions or delete them in cpanel without copying them.

This is getting complicated does anyone know an easier way of uploading files to the server through a url so they can be renamed and downloaded?

Coppermine is designed as a photo gallery, not a FTP program.  There's no reason to upload files and then rename them to something else - do that before you upload.  Your permission issue is due to a goofy server setup.

We can't control what your firewall allows.  That's something you have to handle, it doesn't have anything to do with Coppermine.

Again, your server setup is to blame for the ownership problem.  Ask your host why you aren't the owner when files are uploaded via HTTP.
