Coppermine comes with bridge files that allow it to interact with other apps that have user authentification. Most of those so-called bridges have been created for bulletin board systems, but there are some that work with CMS/portals as well (like Mambo and Xoops). You have to decide what level of CMS you need, there are millions of options.

My personal recommendations (not an official list):
  • cpg1.3.4 with the miniCMS hack to be found in the mods section
  • cpg1.4.x with Mambo (currently cpg1.4.x goes unsupported though)
  • cpgnuke aka dragonfly (not directly related to the coppermine standalone) -> http://cpgnuke.com/
  • WordPress with cpg hack
Please note that there are many other options, this is just what I'd suggest, depending on your skill level and what you need in a CMS - ease of use is only one aspect.

Hi GauGau,

thank you for your suggestions. I will try minicms. That sounds like one that fits my very basic needs.

Best,
