[CPG Newbie]

Just took over a webpage that uses Coppermine Photo Gallery.
I know nothing about CPG - never used it.
There is a gallery page that incorporates a header and shockwave menu which I wish to remove.
When I look at the source code while displaying the page, I can see the code for these items.
When I go to the gallery folder and look at the index.php file, it does not look like the displayed source code.
How do I find the file that contains the code I need to change?
