I can not access the user albums with FTP

Some of my users make to big pics. As expample 100 kb for a pic which don't need more as 50. I like to donwload and resize them.Donwload is possible, but I can' uplod them again. Folder are CHMOD 777 but all FTP-Clients say, I have nor rigts to upload a picture. How can I fix it?

ownership issue due to improper server setup. Ask your webhost for support.
