Changing a picture
« on: August 25, 2005, 04:56:50 pm »

Hello everybody,

It may sound stupid but I am looking if there is a mod/hack or something where I can change a picture that I've uploaded without deleting it. This is because the user fields contain a lot of data and will be painfull to copy data --> delete pic --> upload new pic --> paste data.

I've seen a box to change the picture name, but you have to have it uploaded in a directory previously, so I wonder if there is an easier way to do so.

Regards!

There's no mod, but you can do it manually. Replace the fullsize pic via FTP, and then rebuild the intermediate and thumbnail versions in admin tools. If the pics are significantly differently in terms of filesize and pixel size then you may want to correct those values by editing the pictures table in the database.
