Upgraded...Now cant upload pics
« on: August 19, 2005, 11:33:38 pm »

I upgraded to 1.3.3 but now I cant place pics in album after uploading them.  I get this message:

Destination directory albums/userpics/10001/ is not writable by the script !

refer to the install section of the docs to find out what CHMOD is. There is also a link there that will send you to google's search results for CHMOD tutorials. As permissions differ from one server to another, there can't be a simple instruction like "push button A to set permissions right" - you will have to understand the concept that is behind this. This knowledge is not only needed for coppermine, it's mandatory for everyone who runs a website. We won't walk every user through the various concepts of permissions for webservers, as there already exist thousands of sites on the internet that can do this much better. If you still have no idea what this is all about after reading some tutorials, request support from your webhost.
