exif corrupted with web upload.

If you upload a file via the web interface upload, the file source and scene type fields are getting corrupted with an additional 7f7f added to the end.
If you upload via the xp publishing wizard, the fields are correct.

link and non-admin test user account with upload privileges please, with debug mode for everyone turned on, notices turned off and method for file uploads set to "Single file uploads only" in "groups" for all relevant groups.

at the moment it's on an internal server on my lan here - I'll create an installation on the internet and then post back if the problem persists.
