http://www.1and1.com is offering 500 megs free for 3 years. To every appearance I can find this appears legit.
Also if you are looking for a large host http://hostdime.com offers 3 gig reseller accounts for 30$ a month US which also includes a 3 gig account for the host doing the reselling (6 gigs with 35 gig bandwidth for 30$ a month is a good deal IMHO)

I have personally used CPG for some time now and decided that I would offer it to my customers as part of a package along with forums and blogging software.
Our HomeUserPlus Package is priced at £6 per month and includes :
CPG, phpBB and Pivot. Each item may or may not be used, that is of course up to the client.
CGP forum members will receive 12 months for the price of 10. All you have to do is place an order for the HomeUserPlus Package and when you get the confirmation email, simply reply to it and mention this post. You will then only be invoiced for the price of 10 months.

if you're looking for webhosting and you're from Germany I strongly recommend to take a look at http://webhostlist.de/
They run a large database with comparisons of webhosts - helps you in the jungle that webhosting hs become in the past 2 years. They have user reviews, feature comparison, budget lists any many more options. The site is in German and only covers German webhosts.
