Themes on the Demo Site
« on: July 08, 2005, 06:30:52 am »

I was checking out the demo site and it had a lot of different thmes, maybe I am missing something but I would like to use some of those themes on my page.  I looked everywhere but I cannot find a download link for any themes.  Is there any way to get the themes that are on the demo site?   ???

Thanks

Rob.

They're available on the downloads page (link at top of page).

I also found and downloaded a couple of these themes from your download page.  Here's my problem:

My web host had the Coppermine Script available and I installed it.  However, it was done in my Cpanel.  Their version of Coppermine has only the limited number of themes.

Now that I have downloaded the theme I want ot my computer, how the heck do I get it up to my web host's server?  I'm about to pull my hair out here, and have searched both this support board and my server's help files . . . nothing helpful.

Please answer in the step-by-step "easy coppermine for dummies" format, as most of the answers I've read on this site are far too technical for me.   :-\\

Thank you so much for your time.

You need to unzip the theme file using winzip or whatever you have for opening zip files. That should give you a folder with the name of the theme and a bunch of files inside. You need to get that folder into Coppermine's themes folder using either your FTP client or the file manager in cPanel.

ok, but how?

I've read here that I don't want to use my frontpage program, so I am in the File Manager of my cPanel.

I don't see the coppermine folder anywhere.

So I need someone to not just tell me what I have to do, but step by step HOW to do it. . .

LOL ( I know, I know . . . must be frustrating dealing with people who know nothing, but bear with me.)  Can you tell me by 1, 2, 3?

I've got it unzipped, and have located the proper folders.  I've even altered some CSS, since that's something I do know how to do.
But getting it uploaded to the server is stumping me . . .

Thanks.  ;)
