New/different/changed Index page possible?
« on: June 13, 2005, 09:48:45 pm »

Hey !!

Firstly cheers to the ppl who made coppermine its simply the most awesome peice of s/w for free!

Now my problem !

My current index.php for my site shows no categories and no albums it just shows 5 rows of Random Pics and 2 Rows of Lastuploads... the default page layout with categories / albums was a bit to slow to load (mebbe my server) .. anyway i was just wondering if there was a possiblilty to remove the buttons/links (lastuploads/top pictures/user list/login ...etc) from the index page. just so that there is only one button left "LOGIN" along side the 5 + 3 rows of thumbnails. Once the user logs in he shud be then taken to the default index page complete with categories and albums showing up ...

is this possible ?

Cheers

ps. I have "Display Pictures only to registered users" mod installed ..

use a splash page (not a real coppermine page, but a PHP-powered regular page) with cpmFetch (or similar) installed that will show the latest additions and random pics. Whenever a user clicks on one of the thumbnails cpmFetch displays, he will be sent to your coppermine gallery.
