Quick Question

Is there anyway I can change the layout to coincide with the design of my site? ie. like change the colors to match exactly what my site has.

Make a copy of the classic theme directory, call it whatever you want - edit the template.html file, the theme.php file, and the style.css file.  Colors are handled in the style.css file.
