I am going to use this gallery as a media galley and do not want thumnails., can I make it so I get the file name instead of the images?

yes, surely you are... :wink:
Coppermine is a Photo Gallery as the name already says. It deals with pictures, that's what it was created for. The original author Greg did everything he could to make it show thumbs, create pics on the fly etc., so it's spread all over the code base. It never was meant to be anything else (although there might be support for other files in the future).
Nobody buys a Porsche, removes the wheels and makes it a vehicle that can be used on the sea - that's what boats are for...
