@seanophobia

tested fine for me, are you running any firewall software, or can you try just turning down the security on IE. have you tried firefox?

it would seem to be on your end.

on another note, you have 2 trailing // on a few links in the left menu

yes tried firefox, just tried turning down security, yes i run a firewall, but what would that have to do with this... and yes, it does seem to be on my end, which leads me to my final question, what could be causeing this not to work for me?

I'm thinking along the same lines as snork, perhaps you have a high security setting regarding java/javascript popups.  Software firewalls can be tricky to configure sometimes.

turn off zone alarm and it should work, it's the privacy setting in zone alarm, you will need to add the site to the OK list in the domain section, try visting zonealarm's site, i run nortons and have to do the same for some sites.

thanks for coming back and posting your solution. To others who may read this thread and find it helpfull:
i installed latest java
Java and JavaScript are two totally different animals. Coppermine doesn't use Jaja, only JavaScript. You can't install newer versions of JavaScript (it comes with your browser). Updating Java on your machine won't hurt, but will not solve any issues you have with coppermine.
