PHP Var for URL to file?

Hello,

Does anyone know the PHP varable (Like $_url_file) for the root URL to the picture?

For example www.domain.com/gallery/albums/userpics/file.wmv

I would like to put a Download link for videos so 56Kers don't have to stream.

There is a hack available that creates the download link. I tried a search but couldn't find it but that doesn't mean you shouldn't try.
