ImageMagick and Coppermine
« on: May 23, 2005, 01:32:49 am »

Hey I was wondering if anyone could help me with this error message, I keep getting when trying to install coppermine on my Windows 2003 server with IIS6.

The installer found the ImageMagick 'convert' program in 'C:/ImageMagick/', however it can't be executed by the script.

Does anyone have a solution??,, I saw it in another post resolving for apache... Hopefully someone can help for windows&iis6

Thanks

You need to set your permissions correctly for your ImageMagick directory and for the binaries in it.  IIS is trying to access a directory/file that it doesn't have permission to access.

I also recommend finding some good documentation on how properly administer IIS.

I don't recommend setting up ImageMagick as you proposed on the other thread you refered to, see my reply there. It's totally insecure. I strongly advice to do some intensive reading on secure server setups, especially IIS, if you want to continue running your own webserver publicly available over the internet. You'll get hacked with this sort of setup in no time.
