Album image icons on main page!
« on: May 17, 2005, 04:33:01 am »

OK....If I have only 3 albums and I know for a fact I don't plan on adding any more....ever! How can I rearrange them so they lie three horizonatlly...one to far left of table...one in middle....one on far right. Instead of how it is now with 2 to the left and one to the right! I'm assuming the code is just causing them to stack properly for future albums...but I would only have the three and I need them to run horizontally. Thanks!

Please refer to the manual. http://coppermine.sourceforge.net/manual.php#config_album_list

"Number of columns for the album list"

Did you change "Number of columns for the album list" to 3?

I can't give you a link to my site as it's not accessiable yet from the outside! And yes...I set ablums to three! But it still lays them out on the page like this...

1
2
3

instead of like this....

1                     2                       3

How come no one can answer this question? Is it really that hard? It's like pulling teeth to have anyone answer anything slightly out of the norm!

I assume you're talking about the album display on your main page.

Config -> Number of columns for the album list

Works perfectly on my board.  See my attached pic.  If you are having problems, I'm guessing you have a custom theme or something else out of the norm.

Oh, and I merged your identical topics into your first thread.

Tell you what, pal.  You won't get any more assistance from me.

You may not want to give me anymore assistance....but you didn't even come close to proving your theory! In your 'pic' you have multiple albums....I have 3....when you line only 3 up....you get this (refer to pic)

Exactly how do you have the filmstrip on your main page?  The filmstrip is displayed only when viewing an image, not a list of albums.  Looks like you've been monkeying with the code, which probably explains why your gallery doesn't display properly.

And I display three albums just fine.

If you want help, you need to provide version number, server specs, and explain any and all mods you've applied to your installation.  Based on a standard 1.3.x install, changing the columns works perfectly.
