Coppermine Advanced Poll - how to start
« on: May 17, 2005, 10:41:47 pm »

Hi,
I have Advanced Poll installed, but I don't know how to begin to create my own poll. I'm not even sure if this feature is part of Coppermine, or if my host server company offers it as part of the package.
If it is part of Coppermine, could someone please help me get started. I can see the Demos (1 though 6), and the corresponding html code. I just don't know where to put this code. ie. do I create a new page with say, Dreamweaver, and insert the code, or .... I just can't find any instructions on how to tailor this code to what I need so I can offer my readers a poll to vote in.
Thanks.

Ah, thanks Nibbler. And from what I can read on this forum, Coppermine doesn't have a poll feature yet, right?

no, and there won't be one. This is something that typically comes with bbs apps, and coppermine can nicely be integrated with many bbs apps (my personal favorite being smf). There's little point in polls within coppermine, only a few users would use it: a bloat feature if you ask me.
